Who is Really Poor? [Great Story]
One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from the trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad”.
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yes”, said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.
The son answered:
“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
“We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden and they have a creek that has no end.
“We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
“Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
“We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added:
“Thanks, Dad for showing me how poor we are.”
My Journey at University of Toledo
I still remember my first day of journey at The University of Toledo. We entered in The University of Toledo from north gate, passing from Student Union and parked our car in library parking lot. We checked in and got campus tour, but the student who was giving us tour forgot that we had to give some type of entrance test, and we end up in ALI. In ALI, I met one of the wonderful professor I had ever met. We were surrounded by international students, so it was exciting experience. We completed ALI and then entered in pre-pharmacy program.
We thought we are in Pharm.D program, but later we found that we have to apply for professional division, after we complete pre-pharmacy. So, we studied for pre-pharmacy which was similar to we studied in 12th grade. We did good in classes and applied for professional division. I didn’t got accepted, so I went to pharmacy office to know reason. They told that we can’t tell it. Screw them. I waited for one year to reapply, still I didn’t get and they told me that We can’t tell you reason. F*** them. Luckily, I applied to other colleges, because I didn’t wanted to take any chance this time. I got acceptance letter from 3 colleges; LIU, UU and CSU. I am decided to got to LIU which is in Brooklyn, NY and also close to my family.
There were few classes I took for fun. One of them was Spanish and another was first aid. I enjoyed those classes. I used to study in library and it became my second home. Library is wonderful building in University with lot of resource, it is my favorite building in university too.
I met some wonderful friends and some friend who were so selfish. But whom to blame. I wish I could stay but what can I do? It is time to leave my lovely place. See you at Game!!!!!
